What is your perspective?
While much attention is focused in the “here and now” regarding the vaccine (a.k.a. The JAB), most people fail to consider the perspective that beyond life comes death (duh). The Bible speaks of truth when it addresses matters of life and death – much of today’s narratives avoid the truth and show you ONLY what THEY want you to see. So, let’s go straight to the Bible to see what IT has to say about life and what happens when that life comes to the end of the road…
“…from dust you were taken and to dust you will return.”[1]
“…all (mankind) came from the dust and all return to the dust.”[2]
“…it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment.”[3]
Only you must decide the truthfulness surrounding what the Bible says about life and death. Similarly, you must decide the veracity of information regarding the vaccine [JAB] on your life. Allow me to assure you that the Bible is truthful. Reality is that we all must die someday. Are you prepared? For some that “someday” might just be today, for others tomorrow or next week. Still others will live to ripe old ages. The Bible in one passage speaks of seventy years, or maybe up to eighty if you are strong.[4] My dad lived to ninety-seven. I could never make it that long…ugh!
Millions of people are getting the JAB with hopes it will prolong their lives, a life decision made at an appropriate time – while still alive. How about precautionary measures related to your eternity? The Bible also speaks of man’s life being measured in “days”.[5] What will you do during your “days” on this earth to make eternity worthwhile?
Let’s look at a bit of mechanics. A vaccine (JAB) is something placed inside the human body to counteract the effects of an illness or disease so as to prevent adverse outcomes. Hopefully that JAB will do what you think it should do. Time will tell if your trust in that treatment for your life will turn out well for you.[6] Likewise, consider that all mankind is born with the disease of sin in their life. Everyone is painted with the brush of sin and death – “All have sinned and fall short of God’s glory” says Romans 3:23. The Bible goes on to point out that the “wages of sin is death…”[7] Wages – the payment due (for sin) is death. The culprit in that chain of events is Adam, the one who initiated the event of rebellion against God that lead all of us to death – “In Adam, all die”.[8] We are all born in Adam in case you did not understand what I was pointing out!
What therefore must be placed in you to counter the effects of [eternal] death resulting from sin? If you read my last post [“Righteousness”] then you’ll have a pretty good idea what I am talking about. First of all, no effort by man can accomplish his salvation. Only God can provide the solution to man’s sinful state. Only God is sovereign, and righteous, and just… Only God is eternal, unchangeable, and absolute truth etc. etc. etc. When man establishes a relationship with God based on faith [alone] in Christ, He (God) deposits in man His righteousness and His life (eternal life).
- What does God do? He gives.[9]
- What does man do? He receives.[10]
The deposit [JAB] of God’s righteousness IN YOU is sufficient to solve the eternal problem of what sin has done to separate you from God and condemn you to eternal judgment.
“He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” [11]
