For all who have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, evil has a beginning and it has an end. For all others, evil is eternal – ponder that one! In which group are you? Evil is the cause of all problems that exist in the world today. Consider the headlines of the day:[1]
- Administration out of touch with private sector…[2]
- People choosing death over vaccination…[3]
- Bad news for current administration…[4]
- News anchor fired for not getting COVID shot…[5]
- Your Christmas might be ruined…[6]
Not much good to report. But that is the way things are progressing these days. The world has been heading downhill ever since the fall of man. Rebel against God’s authority and that is the end result. Satan’s insurrection against God had its starting point when, like a stubborn child, he declared a will to do things his way (Isaiah 14:12-14) demonstrating an obstinate attitude toward the Creator.
Satan’s rebellion had its gain-of-function when he, masquerading as a serpent, convinced mankind that God was a bully and things would be much better independent of Him. The rest of the story is the history of mankind from Genesis chapter three until today. Unfortunately, when you side with what the world has to offer over what Jesus Christ has to offer, your life will, inevitably, be out of control.
When a nation rejects God the end results are the same…out of control. It’s not surprising then to read the above news clips. Let’s consider a crazy illustration of this type of logic. Imagine removing all traffic controls from our nation’s roads: traffic lights, signs indicating speed or other instructions. Go one further, remove seatbelts and safety glass from our automobiles and let’s see the end result. Call them all “cultural relics,” harmful to a progressive life. Talk about road-rage! This is exactly the rationale this country is using against God…they have asked Him to leave the courtrooms, the classrooms, and the culture in general. Then they wonder why we have so many problems. Suddenly, to stand for truth, honesty and integrity is to be identified as a terrorist.
There is no better time to make the choice of a lifetime…choose life, choose the Lord Jesus Christ. If not, the evil you live with now will last forever…that is a sobering thought!
