“Everyone has a plan…
until they get hit in the face” Mike Tyson
So, what is your plan for life? How’s that working out for you? Any bumps in the road yet? Any HITS TO THE FACE?
How about when life comes to an end? Year 2020 showed that both young and old are subject to end-of-life realities. Those seemingly healthy are taken away. So, what are your plans? If your life ended today, where would you end up (beside the morgue that is)? Do you have full confidence in your decision? Are you trusting anyone beside yourself? Look in the mirror – can you check all the boxes to say you are qualified to face eternity? Think you are good enough? What are the criteria to make the cut? Do you have confidence in your source for end-of-life information? Remember, you only have one chance to get it right. Are you feeling lucky? Life has no “do-overs”. This life is NOT a dress rehearsal.
What about the reality statement “…it is appointed for men to die once…”[1] that statement comes from the Bible, the most realistic book ever written. Don’t believe the Bible? Do you have a better source for information? Mortality rates, as we all know, are running at 100%. So, what is YOUR plan? How many people do you think PLANNED on getting a virus that would take their life or that of a friend or family member? Did you plan on wearing a mask everywhere you go? Some think their mask will protect them from all ills – they wear masks when jogging, cycling, even when driving a car, when doing everything…people are scared. Masks have NO value in eternity.
People demonstrate they are not ready to face the great beyond. Most have NO plan for how to face the precious FINAL moments they spend on this earth, they can barely get thru each day!
Are you comfortable getting a vaccine that might take your life or alter your health in ways unknown? Think there might be any repercussions in years ahead? Do you think that getting the vaccine will instantly transport you to PRE-COVID days of bliss? Most people focus on TODAY without a thought of what tomorrow has to offer. Do you have plans that go beyond today and tomorrow? How about plans for ETERNITY?
What’s around the bend for you? I can only account for myself, you must face your own life decisions.
How many people do you think planned on getting shot this week?
How many people do you think planned on being killed or injured in an automobile accident?
How many people will leave their house today for the last time? Unbeknownst to them.
Life is full of surprises, not all good!
HITS TO THE FACE!
What is your response to being hit in the face? What is your plan when you are knocked down? Want some pointers? You might want to start with ETERNITY and work backward. The choices, according to the Bible, are Heaven and Hell.
Door #1 – Hell – is the default option for eternity. Not the best!
Door #2 – Heaven – is the FREE GIFT option available for those still alive. Once you’ve shipped off it is too late. All decisions are FINAL!
Think you’ll wait? The Bible says, “…now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”[2]
Think you have it all figured out for yourself?
Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived had this to say, “There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.”[3]
You might want to give it some thought before the sun sets on your plans…
